Who? Where? What?

The hell's this?
Just another personal blog.

Who maintains it?
I write in it when I feel like it. (Maintaining is such a big word. My site has been inactive several times through out the years.)

And who are you???
You can call me Elenis. There’s only one true Elenis on the net. ;) If you know me, you already know my name as it appears on my ID card.

Speaking of which: where are you from? Or, I’d like to know some basic facts about you, as in the "About Me" section of every personal blog.
Yeah, I guess... I was born the 21st of April, 1982 in Madrid, Spain. I've lived there and in many other places; among them, Barcelona and Bochum. I currently live in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. And I, um, play videogames for a living.

You what??
I’m a game tester. We test the games you play with before you do. :P

I see. Weird job for a weird person. Are you a guy or a girl?
Until further discoveries, I’m a member of the female gender. I don't really believe in such differences, but it's just a way of categorizing as any other.

I thought you were a gal, but I was confused because I've read some entries in your blog that refer to women in a quite, um, admirative way!
Oh, I do that all the time! I have a very healthy libido. And yes, I’m open about me liking women. Believe me, when you have hormones like mine, life’s much easier if you don’t carefully select who knows what and who doesn’t.

Heh. You seem to be brave, and very practical.
Oh, no. I'm a softie and a day-dreamer, but I like pretending. Not that I care much about keeping my cover...

What else are you?
Human.

Me too (or so I believe). What are your hobbies, leanings and interests?
This one is always complicated... I like writing (and doing NaNoWriMo), reading, thinking, films and TV series, long walks, animals and nature, taekwondo and martial arts, comics, some fantasy and sci-fi, bycicles, cheese, warm showers, adventure games, trying new things out, dining out with friends, being on my own when I feel like it, karaoke (strangely), musicals, cultural studies, smiles, people being nice to me, me being nice to most people though I don't really expect much of them, being depressed from time to time (I don’t like it, but you get the picture)... I engage in occassional activism and community work, mostly in the fields of environmentalism, gay rights and women's rights. And I like pretty gals. PRETTY GALS ROCK. Yeah, definitely.

You think you're strange? I find you rather normal.
Thanks :)

But I'm a bit curious about that creative side of yours. What do you write about?
Uh, it’s, uh. Normally, I write about twisted young girls getting it on with each other in the context of strict boarding schools. *coughs* But I’ve written many other things in my life. I’ve done poetry, fantasy, mystery, children’s stories and of course fanfiction. You might want to check El cajón de los conejos; I post some stuff there when I feel like it, though most of my things are in Spanish. However, I’m afraid you’ll need a LiveJournal account to view most of the contents. And yeah, I also draw, I've written some scripts, co-directed a couple of shorts, started webcomics and dreamt about neverending series...

It seems like you've done lots of things...
Yes. Digged almost everything, mastered nothing. But I have plans to overcome that soon! I'll start tomorrow!

How did you end up in Frankfurt? Do you plan to settle down (t)here?
*shrugs*

Ooookay, you don't have to answer. Just tell me what you did before coming (back) to Germany.
I worked as a junior screenwriter for a TV show. I started a PhD in Film Studies. I was desperate to find myself.

You know, I really like how you write, but I feel uninterested or don’t quite get most of the stuff you talk about.
Well, what do you want me to do? People come as a whole. I can’t extrapolate the way I write from the things I write of. Of course, good-intended suggestions to improve the contents of this blog or my creative works are welcome, but I highly recommend you not to try to change me, preach to me or assume you know me just by reading some of the entries on my blog. On the other hand, nothing too personal will show up here; it has, in the past, but now it’s somewhere else...

... I know where to find it!
Because you're very clever!

Really? Aw, hehehe. Oh, I kind of like you. I’ve added you to my contact list so we can chat sometime. Hope you don’t mind!
Uh, I don’t, but the e-mail address that shows up in here isn’t the address I use for instant messaging. Very sorry; I grew tired of people asking me who I was and what I was doing in their contact lists (like I knew). If you want to contact me, why don’t you e-mail me instead?

The thing is, I’d like to contact you but I’m somewhat awkward.
Naaah. I don’t bite (unless asked to).

Dear Elenis: I’ve known you for a long time. You used to do this and that, and you were a fucking mastermind. Why don’t you do this and that any more?
Well... Times change, and people change with the times. But then, if you know me, you know I could still be doing this for myself and be secretly planning to do that again... :P
